IFMA, Czech subsidiary of international facility management organisation, announced the results of the FM AWARDS 2014 contest on Tuesday, November 11. This years’ nominations were Project of the year 2014, Personality of the year 2014, Student work of the year 2014, and Publication of the year 2014. The aim of the contest is to support the best solutions and popularize the most important project and personalities of Czech facility management.
One of the 8 nominated projects was Energy management of a hypermarket by Domat Control System. Aiming to cut down operational expenses, Domat Control System and SPAR Czech Republic agreed on cooperation to develop energy management of Interspar shopping centers. Energy auditor picked up two test projects where energy saving measures were offered, and later implemented by Domat Control System. Achieved energy savings rate was 32.5 % by optimizing the building control software only.
In the afternoon conference program block appeared Jan Vidim with a paper named Postcommissioning as part of energy management.
Postcommissioning, or a follow-up check and optimization of the building control system, saves operational costs and extends technology lifetime.
The paper covered the steps which are executed at the postcommissioning activities, and results of several projects.
